CLIENT EXPERIENCE MANAGER

OVERVIEW

Outpost Overseas is a Scottish based Golf Tour Operator, delivering exceptional golf travel experiences.

We are looking for an organised, confident, and client focused individual to join our team as a Client Experience Manager. The successful candidate will be operationally-minded and enjoy delivering great client service. This is a senior role within the business and is central to the successful delivery of our trips.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Manage all aspects of a client’s trip from pre trip preparation through to support while they are travelling.
  • Liaise with clients in advance of travel, ensuring clients are well prepared for their trip.
  • Maintain regular communication with clients while they are travelling to ensure their trip is running smoothly.
  • Work closely with the Operations team to ensure all elements of trips are delivered as planned.
  • Co-ordinate adjustments to itineraries or additional arrangements on behalf of clients where required.
  • Meet client groups during their trips across the UK and Ireland.
  • Occasionally travel internationally to support client trips where required.

OTHER RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Provide line management and guidance for members of the Operations team.
  • Maintain strong working relationships with golf clubs, hotels, transport providers, and other partners.
  • Support the creation and production of itineraries for new client trips
  • Research and write content for bespoke itineraries and the Outpost Overseas website

QUALITIES WE’RE LOOKING FOR

  • Exceptional organisational skills and close attention to detail. This is essential to managing multiple trips and delivering seamless travel experiences.
  • A confident and client focused approach, with the ability to communicate clearly and professionally with clients and partners.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Confidence working with numbers, including trip pricing, budgets, and financial tracking.
  • Strong working knowledge of Excel or Google Sheets for organising information and managing data.
  • A calm, practical and solution oriented approach to problem solving.
  • A proactive mindset with the ability to take ownership of sometimes complex travel arrangements.
  • A flexible and adaptable approach, with an understanding that responsibilities may evolve as the business grows.
  • Experience in leisure, hospitality, or travel is desirable but not essential.
  • An interest in golf is beneficial.
  • A positive, collaborative team attitude.

EMPLOYMENT DETAILS

Salary: £46,000 to £54,000 per annum, depending on experience, with an annual bonus linked to performance.

Working Hours: 37.5 hour working week. The role includes occasional weekend on call activity and out of hours communication with clients during the main travel season.

Location: Hybrid. Based at our Edinburgh Park office near Edinburgh Airport, with an expectation of two days per week in the office. The role includes regular travel across the UK during the golf season and occasional international travel.
