We start with the essentials. Your group size, your preferred travel dates, any must play courses and an idea of your budget. With these details, we can discuss some high level options before shaping an itinerary for us to discuss together.
We refine the trip with you to make sure the schedule feels right. Once you are happy with the outline, we contact the golf courses and hotels to confirm availability so we can come up with a final proposal.
Yes. Some courses have specific visitor days or seasonal restrictions. We know all of these details and guide you on what is possible as we shape the trip around your priorities.
Yes. There is generally no limit to maximum group size. We normally arrange trips for groups of 4 people and upwards, as some clubs apply this minimum. However, if you are fewer than 4, do get in contact and we can advise as to what is possible.
Absolutely, we can add sightseeing, dinners, whisky tours, or other experiences to your itinerary – just let us know if you would like us to plan these for you.
Yes, we can suggest activities for anyone who is not playing and help shape days that work well for the whole group.
The earlier the better. We recommend planning at least 12–18 months before you are looking to travel. Some courses, such as Muirfield, allocate visitor times by the end of February for the following year. Late availability is sometimes possible, but early planning gives you the best options as well as the prime tee times.
Yes. We know the best local places and can guide you on where to book. Some restaurants require credit card details from the guest directly and we will let you know when that applies.
We organise trips to pretty much anywhere in the world outside of North America. You will get plenty of inspiration on this website, but if you’d like to go somewhere not covered please just let us know and we should be able to help!
If you have any must play courses, we start with those and shape the rest of the trip around them. If you are unsure where to begin, we know all of the courses well and can guide you to the best options for your dates and group. Different types of courses will suit different groups and that’s where our expertise comes in!
We work directly with the clubs and know their booking windows and visitor policies very well. Some courses release times early in the year while others open later. We manage all of this for you and advise on the best way to secure the courses you want.
Let us know if you have preferred tee times. Booking early usually offers the best chance of securing a specific time. Some courses have limited visitor slots, so some flexibility helps us build the ideal schedule.
Most golf courses have a maximum handicap requirement. In the UK this is typically around 28, although a few courses have a maximum of 18. If this may be an issue for anyone in your group, please speak to us before booking so we can advise on suitable options.
We work with a range of high quality hotels, from well-known luxury brands to smaller boutique properties. Each hotel is chosen for comfort, service and suitability for your trip. We visit all of the hotels regularly and are constantly getting feedback from our clients so you can be assured we only recommend properties that meet our high standards.
We look at what matters most to you. For example, do you want to be within walking distance of pubs and restaurants or would you prefer a luxury resort with on site facilities? How important is the size of the rooms? Your budget also plays a part, as there is a wide range of styles and price points. Once we understand what you want from the trip, we recommend the properties that fit best.
We will advise the type of room we are including when presenting your itinerary. Upgrades are available at most hotels. We can advise on options and prices at the time of booking.
Yes. Most hotels offer twin rooms, but in the UK and Europe this often means two single beds rather than two doubles. If this is important for your group, please check with us as it varies by hotel.
Breakfast is included at all of the hotels we work with. Other meals are not usually included, but if a property offers additional dining as part of your stay we will confirm it in your itinerary.
Many hotels offer it, but some older or historic properties do not. If air conditioning is important, please tell us early on so we can select suitable options.
Many hotels offer laundry services, and some can provide same day turnaround. We will include details of this in your personalised itinerary.
We can request it for you, although it always depends on availability on the day.
You can travel with a private driver, use a transfer service or rent a car. Most groups prefer having a driver, either dedicated for the full trip or arranged as transfers. We guide you on the best option for your group size, the route you are taking and the style of trip you want.
A dedicated driver stays with your group throughout the trip and manages all daily movements. There is also flexibility to change times ‘on the go’ with a dedicated driver. A transfer service covers your key journeys only, such as airport pickups and drop offs at the courses, and does not stay with you during the day.
We use comfortable modern vehicles suited to your group size and amount of luggage. These range from luxury cars for small groups to executive minibuses and larger coaches for bigger parties.
They will if you have a dedicated driver. Sightseeing works best when planned in advance, as we allow a maximum number of hours each day to keep the schedule comfortable. We guide you on what is realistic and include any agreed sightseeing in your itinerary. If you are using transfers we can organise additional transfers for sightseeing trips.
Your daily schedule is laid out in your itinerary. We set clear pick up times for each day and update them if anything changes during the trip. We normally aim to get you to the course about an hour before you tee off but can tailor this to your requirements.
Gratuities are at your discretion. We provide simple guidance in your itinerary so you know what is appropriate for the length of your trip.
If you are flying from different places, it is best to arrive as close together as possible so no one has long waits at the airport. If you are playing on the first day, we will advise the latest arrival time that works with your tee time.
We will ask you at the time of booking if you would like to book caddies and we request them directly from the clubs.
Caddies are not guaranteed as they are not employed directly by the club. However, if requested they will usually be available. If caddies are not possible on the day, pull trolleys will always be available.
A typical caddie fee is around £100 to £120 in Scotland and around €120 in Ireland. This is paid directly to the caddie on the day. They should always be paid in cash with local currency, not dollars.
Carts are limited at most traditional links courses and some do not allow them at all.
Some clubs accept a short medical note from your doctor. Others require proof of a permanent disability. Please tell us if using a cart is essential so we can arrange one, if possible, early in the process.
Once your itinerary is finalised, we will then put a ‘book now’ button live on your itinerary. You will then have a week for everyone to pay their deposit and book their trip.
We normally include all golf bookings, accommodation and transportation from when you arrive in the country. Gratuities and meals not specified are generally not included.
A deposit of 50 percent of the trip cost is required. This is non refundable. Once paid, we can confirm your arrangements with each supplier.
You can pay either by credit card or an ACH. Our trips are all priced in British Pounds but you will be able to pay in either pounds or US Dollars. If paying by credit card there is a payment processing fee which goes directly to our payment provider.
Yes. Each person can pay individually or one person can pay for multiple places.
We can secure your courses and hotels once the deposit payments have been received. Until then, all arrangements remain subject to availability.
The final balance is due twelve weeks before the start of your trip.
Deposits are non-refundable. If you cancel more than twelve weeks before travel, the deposit is retained. Cancellations within twelve weeks of departure are charged at one hundred percent of the trip cost. Refunds cannot be offered for unused services such as missed golf or activities.
Once services are confirmed, changes depend on availability and the policies of the courses, hotels and other suppliers. Some changes may involve amendment fees or higher costs. We explain any implications before you decide.
If a guest cancels, the price per person may change. Many arrangements are costed on the full group. If numbers change, the price for the remaining guests may increase.
Date changes are not usually possible. Many suppliers treat this as a cancellation and rebooking. We can check for you, but it is rare that this is possible as courses and hotels are heavily booked.
If a supplier cannot deliver a service, we will let you know and arrange the closest suitable alternative.
We are not responsible for missed services caused by flight delays or cancellations. Courses, drivers and hotels will not offer refunds for missed tee times or services.
Small changes such as dining or local activities are often possible. Changes to golf or accommodation during the trip are less likely due to availability and, if possible, would usually involve additional costs.
Links golf is played in a wide range of weather. If a course closes due to unsafe conditions, their weather policy applies. Refunds or rearranged tee times are offered according to each course’s individual policy.
Yes. We strongly recommend buying comprehensive travel insurance that covers cancellations, delays, missed services, medical needs and lost luggage.
Our Terms and Conditions are available here.
Pack for changeable weather. Layers work well. Bring waterproofs, a warm mid layer and a light windproof jacket. Comfortable golf shoes and a spare pair of shoes are a good idea. Always carry your essentials in your hand luggage, including golf shoes and medication, in case your bags are delayed. Golf balls are slightly more expensive in the UK and Ireland than the US, but you do not need to bring too many. Most people overpack, so leave a little space for clothes and souvenirs you may buy during the trip.
Yes. Most courses offer good quality rental sets, but they should be booked well in advance. It is also possible to use a service to rent the same set of clubs for the duration of your visit if booked in advance.
Yes. There are reliable luggage shipping companies that can collect your clubs from home and deliver them to your first golf club or hotel. Not all clubs accept shipped clubs, so please let us know if you are thinking of doing this and we can check with them.
Yes. The UK and Ireland use a three pin plug. We recommend purchasing an adaptor in the US before travelling.
Apple/Google Pay and card payments are widely accepted. Cash is only needed for caddie fees and tipping. It is best to withdraw cash from a bank or airport ATM rather than a convenience store. When paying by card, decline the option to convert the charge into your home currency, as fees are higher.
The first thing to do is speak to the airline/baggage handling company on arrival and give them all your details. Make sure you get a reference code from them. Then let us know as soon as you can so we can help organise rental clubs for you at your first courses. You may want to put a tracing device, such as an airtag, into your luggage. They are useful for checked luggage and golf bags, especially on connecting flights.
You will have a named Client Experience Manager who looks after your trip from start to finish. You will have their direct number and they are on hand throughout your trip.
Your web based itinerary will be kept fully up to date during your trip. It includes pick up times, tee times and travel notes. We normally plan to get you to a course around an hour before your tee time, but if you prefer more or less time, just tell us.
We can but adjustments to golf or accommodation depend on availability.
